Bloody Good Printing: Jones Knowles Ritchie enlists Tocci MADE to print a “love letter to meat” (from plants!)

Global Executive Creative Director, Lisa Smith, approached Tocci MADE at the culmination of the Impossible Brands re-brand, with an interesting idea. Could we print using the company’s proprietary “heme” ingredient as ink for silkscreening? We said “why not?” The end result? A bloody good project.

Impossible's posters were created to be a bold, spectacular love letter to meat (from plants!). Printed using “heme” (the ingredient used to make Impossible burgers "bleed") on butcher paper, each poster bursts with meat-acular details.

These include: SANS MEAT, a custom typeface inspired by hand-painted meat market signs; iconography reminiscent of diner signage: woodblock illustrations; and copy that professes. The rebrand and thoughtful details in every part of the process speak volumes to Lisa and the JKR team’s approach. We are always honored to play a small part in bringing their (sometimes wild!) ideas to life.
